LO 7
144".
Mr. Harrington began by stating that this was an upgrade submitted with
variances requested. It was pretty straightforward. They are requesting a 1' drop
to groundwater so that they don't have to go into a mounded system and a '
variance to a well which is on an abutting property, only 150' t 144', which is a
' variance. This is on a straight upgrade.
Mr. Doherty stated that they were close to the Great River.
Mr. Ball asked if there was plenty of distance on that issue.
Mr. Doherty asked about the horizontal distance. It looks okay. (He begins to
measure the plans.) He has 144' to a well that is on the other side of the cul--de-
.
Mr. Bail confirmed that it is an existing three bedroom. He then asked Mr.
Harrington if it was a tear down and rebuild.
Mr. Harrington replied that it was his belief that it was a failed pit.
Mr. Ball then stated, "Look where the pit is. It is even closer to the wetland."
Ir. Harrington agreed that it was also real close to the grater if not in the water-. It
0
is down at elevation 6. He is putting the pump system in to get it up to the higher
point ofthe property near- the driveway. He is just squeaking in with the cover
that
er-
that h has got.
Nor. Doherty begins to have a discussion with Ir. Ball. He suggests that they have
the engineer kick a denitrification system in.
Mr. Hall asks hire if he is doing this because of the ('separation."
Mr. Doherty said that it was because they were looking for a variance from
vertical to horizontal. He has two. one that offsets the reduction on the vertical
distance.
Mr. Ball replied that as far as the well they couldn't kick it in.
Mr. Doherty said that they could do that.
Mr. Ball asked if they have ever done it before.
Mr. Doherty responded, ,"why not?" It's a variance. .
Mr. Ball agreed that it is a variance request from the reduction of the 1' from the
'. Correct?
Mr. Doherty then turned to the other board members present and stated that he
2
