Mr. Doherty asked if Mr. Ball was familiar with this area.
Mr. Ball stated that he wasn't familiar with this area.
Mr. Doherty thea explained where this area was located.
Mr. Henchy continued that they are very concerned about the driving ravage. It i
immediately upgraded into our Zone I. Although representations have been made
haat they are not going to use fertiliser or maintain it. None of those
representations are binding absent some regulatory reviews. He has yet to see a
driving range on a world class golf course that looks like a Cape Cod lawn in the
summertime. It is not credible to believe that that is the way it is going to work
out. There are 677,000 square feet of paved parking arra roadways proposed.
When the storm water run-off from all of that impervious surface is going to
diverted into retention banks and the location that he has indicated on.the plan.
The chairman is directly up gradient and thaf is true. Previously all of the storm
water run off had been directed to that one. They have modified their plan
somewhat and put some of that down gradient but closer. what their engineers
tell them is that because the water table here is so flat and the wells are sucking
it down. By putting storm grater, even down gradient, its very likely that it will
change the ground water gradient locally and that storm water run-off will be
sucked right into the wells in addition.
Ir. Doherty asked if the water-didn't already have pumping models for hese two
yells, which gold show the zone of contribution. Essentially it is going to show a
cone.
Mr. Henchy stated that they would shover a come of depression. He was sure that
they do. But, he couldn't tell hien sitting here exactly what those show. He is sure
that they have them. They are older wells. He didn't know when the ...pump test
were done or whether they did that mottling at the time those yells were
permanent. The nitrogen load from the parking is estimated to be 247 pounds per
year. Again, directed basically into those two wells.
Mr. Santos joined the discussion by asking if this whole area was going to be tied
into the sewer plan.
Ir. Henchy stated that that was just what he was going to get into next. That is
correct.
Mr. Santos continued by stating that he remembered going up there to a meeting.
They do have a 400' buffer zone around the well s, correct, that is required. H
definitely does see a concern because most wells. That was one of the big
complaints by Conservation and that was why they formed a commission to look
t this because most wells have on an average of 800 to loco'. A good % of
thorn on the Cape have at least that setback.
Mr. Henchy continued by stating that this entire area is within our Zone II. The
3
