certification form.
4. Request for Septic Permit Extension:
29 Monahansett Road and 39 Hook Drive
Mr. Harrington began by stating that these are requests for one-time one-
year extensions. They are the same as the requests the board has been
approving all along.
Ms. Grady made a motion to approve the request for septic permit
extension for one year for 29 Monahansett Road. Mr. Ball seconded the
motion. Motion passed.
Ms. Grady made a motion to approve the request for septic permit
extension for one year for 39 Hook Drive. The tribal
counsel has built wooden stands on their property with piping for roofs,
carpeting for the floor and power for water, refrigeration and stoves. He
has inspected it while it was under construction. But, he thought it was
going to be a nice set-up. The vendors are going to be providing their own
covers for roofs. The health agents will be inspecting them at the time of
set up for the other half of the regulations. The permits are being
requested by four out of five of the tribal members. The VFW will also be
there. Many of these are simple serve meals. Some of the others are a
little more complicated with ribs, jag, linguica, etc. A couple of the
vendors that are going to do more of the complicated meals have ServSafe
certification.
Ms. Garron asked if these vendors had a not for profit status.
Mr. Harrington stated that he was unsure of the status.
Mr. Ball stated that it was $25.00 per for three days. However, in the past
they have only charged the tribe a flat fee of only $25.00 for the three
days.
Mr. Harrington stated that there was a check for $225.00 attached to the
request for the permits.
Mr. Ball motioned to waiver two days of the fee for each vendor and only
charge them for one day. The total being $225.00. Ms. Grady seconded the
motion. Motion passed.
2
