i
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
A. Beach closure Procedure (Revised)
Mr, Harrington asked if he could continue this item on the agenda. He
hasn't had an opportunity to address the changes.
B. Landfill Grass Morirr
Mr. Farrington put this on the agenda as a point of interest. The last time
Moe did the landfill he missed a bunch of spots and the DPW had to go
back over it on portions of the sloped area, which is visible right along the
transfer station. Ms, Laurent carne over to discuss it. she wasn't very
happy with the results. she felt that there were a couple of hours that
were wasted by her workers in order to rectify that situation. She would
like to find some other options if possible.
Ms. Carron stated that she recommended goats.
Mr. Santos stated that there were some upped landfills that they plant
and harvest hay. He agreed that there were lots of alternatives to
mowing. He suggested that the DPNH do it. .
Mr. Harrington responded that the DPW didn't have the equipment to do it.
That is why they don't do it now.
Ms, Grady asked why he didn't go back over it.
IVIr. Harrington replied that Moe did it by contract with the BOH. It i
$2500.00 twice a year because he has the equipment to do it.
IVIS. Grady continued that he obviously didn't do it if they had to go back
over the areas.
Mr. Santos asked who told therm to go back and mow it. Did they receive a
complaint?
Mr. Harrington replied that he had not heard about it until after the fact
and it was clone. Apparently it didn't look very good and it was right on the
transfer station side. They put In for another mower and they had it up
until the last budget outs.
Ms. Grady didn't understand if he was being paid to do a job why he didn't
do his job properly in the first place. las this addressed?
■
Mr. Harrington replied that he didn't have anything to take to him. Nobody
1
