Furthermore the
$300,00 fine goes to each departments separate account.
i
Ms, Garron stated that the one fine was deposited into the fire account
number for the 130H.
Mr, Harrington continued that IVIS. Laurent wanted to take on the burden
to collect the fine then the money would go to the DPW, That was the
incentive for each department to do it as far as he could tell, The $300.00
fine was a lot of money for the BOH, But, it was a drop in the bucket for
the DPWA
Ms., Grady asked whom they made the check out to the Torn of Mashpee
or the Board of Health.
IVIS. Carron replied that the check is made out to the Town of Mashpee
however the BOH"s code for the receipt of fines goes on it.and into our
account.
IVIS. Warden stated that it gets broken down for the annual town report
but it probably goes into the town account.
Mr, Santos recommended that Mr. Harrington give them an update as to
the BOH's position and what the overall cost is going to be. He didn't like
it any better than anyone else did;
Ms, Warden recommended that they could just acknowledge the letter.
Then the BOH could continue to handle it in the same manner* However,
if they would like to come in and discuss this they were welcome to do
son
Ms. Grady suggested that they offer there a chance to cone before the
BOH and discuss ghat has gone on to date.
There was further discussion about the appropriate manner by which this
issue should be addressed. It was agreed that Mr, Harrington would
I
present the letter in person to the selectmen at their next meeting along
with a representative member of the board of health,
i
Mr, Harrington agreed to send them a letter with the opportunity to
discuss if necessary.
2
