F
Mr, Santos offered $300sOO for the third and $500.00 for any subsequent
offenses. He then asked if the fines were going to be applicable after April
i st, 2003 if the establishments don't have the proper signage. That could
be construed as a violation,
Mr. Harrington stated that that could be covered under 'IV" too, under
violations and penalties, Any person who knowingly violates any provision
of this regulation or who&MM
Ir. The people need to know that if there were not in
compliances then needed to know about the fines. He felt that number
was pretty straightforward. He moved on to section 8 and there was no
discussion. He moved on to Section 9.
Mr. Harrington stated that in section 9 number 3 J, ale felt that the
definition of "smoke free" and number 3 H*
Mr. Santos asked what it was supposed to be.
Mr. Harrington replied that it should be in all public places as defined in
IV."
Ms. Carron re-iterated that Section 3 J should actually be section 3 No
Mr. Santos moved on to section 100
Mr. Ball asked if this related to the sale of tobacco.
Mr. Farrington stated that this was done in town. The Mashpee Country
Market does it.
Ms. Carron stated that she noticed it tonight. Buy two and get one free.
She hadn't noticed it before. -n
3
