f
I
i
i
I
Mr, Sa ni ki replied that the available systems run around 19 or 20.
Mr. Harrington stated that there is no technology right now that maintains
less than tern. There are some that will get bele ► tern. But...
Mr. Ball asked what the 99 Restaurant's rate was per day.
Mr. Harrington replied that they only have to average less than twenty-five
-five
as a commercial property, Residential properties have to maintain less
than nineteen,
Mr* Ball reiterated that this was a commercial pr pert i
Mr, Harrington agreed and stated that the technology per state regulation
is twenty-five milligrams per liter of total nitrogen.
Mr. Ball asked if that would be the maximum.
Mr. Harrington concurred that would be the maximum, The board has
asked for ar ten. But, right now the technology doesn't exist to maintain
that number. But, the board has previously allowed other properties such
ars the santuit Inn, to use the RSF as the technology, which hes been
known to be less than the twenty-five for a commercial property, Buto they
still do the down-gradient monitoring at the monitoring well.
Mr. Santos asked.if tern was applicable to the actual effluent or at the
monitoring wellm
Mr. Harrington responded that it was the effluent and also monitoring at
the Drell* It was for both.
Mr, Santos stated that at the santuit Inn the monitoring well had no
evidence of nitrogen.
Mr, Harrington concurred and stated that it never go above one at the
Santuit inn, which is good. But, the effluent is tough to do right now.
Mr. Sani k! added that they had another technical problem, They had
septic tanks with leaching pits. Would they allow the leaching pits t
remain? lir. Harrington just brought up re-circulating sand filters. They
have the pits in the ground, which meet Title V under the time that they
were put in. He was going to change the system* Could he just change the
nitrogen part of the system just the tanks with the denitrification system
and still maintain the pits? -
Mr, Ball would agree with that request.
M F.
r
M
