4
food personally. This was a private thing and she didn't feel it was her
business. she felt that the board members needed to bring this natter up
with 11r. Ball present.
Ms
. rad 1 w n'It stating that they weren't going to discuss this with Mr.
Ball. But, she would like to have something in writing for when Mr. Ball
was here the nett time. She hoped that Mr. Harrington was writing down
what they were talking about. She wasn't sure what he was writing.
Mr. Harrington responded that he was writing down his grocery list! of
course he was taking notes regarding the meeting's details.
Mr. Santos asked for the minutes of the last meeting regarding the
smoking policy written up. Then he wanted another cop] with nothing
said about public property.
FIs. Grady asked him if he really wanted nothing about public property.
Mr. Santos stated that what he wanted was two separate documents with
separate language regarding where smoking is not allowed in tern
buildings within ten feet of the doorways and all that stuff. Basically
eliminating the language on town property. Mr. Ball was aware of that and
he was fine with that language. He didn't want to get into to much
discussion surrounding that topic, He had been playing phone tag with
Glenn !!Marshall. He had wanted to sit down with him and get a feel of what
exactly were they talking about. He had no problems with their spiritus
ceremonies. Bust, in the same token if they are going to be sitting there
and passing a puce pipe regarding a spiritual type of smoking if did not
mean that ala and Pa around therm could be lighting up Marlboros.
Ms, Warden countered that she felt that itwasn't any of the hoard's
business if what they did during their spiritual ceremonies, It was her
opinion but she felt that he was going to be getting himself in some hot
water.
Mr. Santos felt uncomfortable discussing his position on this matter with
Mr. Ball not being present* If they had to have a pow-wow at the hack of
the hall fields they would have to come in and get a variance from the
board for the event There would be no charge. What do they do on school
fields? He didn't know if they would have to get a variance*
Ms. Warden stated that they would not appy for the variance.
Ms. Grady didn't think that they would be allowed to smoke on school
fields.
22
S
