}
Mr. Webber stated that he hooked up the garage and he installed the
septic system planning on the house being built in the future. At the time
he didn't pull the permit for the garage and the house. His guess was that
he just pulled it for the house. Then when he pulled the house permit the
rules had changed and they wanted a denitrification system.
Mathematically, he only needs to denitrification system for two bedrooms
to meet the Conservation requirement. Initially It was agreed to do the full
six, Then it was amended to do four. He would lice to denite four instead
of all sic.
Mr. Harrington had spoken with Mr. Sherman in the Conservation
Commission and he was fine with this request.
Mr. Santos asked how big the lot was.
Mr. Darrington stated that it was 1.47 acres.
Mr, Webber stated that it was 68,000 square feet. .
Mr. Santos asked if it was an existing four and it was being renovated to t
four.
Mr. Webber responded that the old cottage was probably three.
Mr. Harrington added that Conservation would have required the
denitrification system if there was an increase in bedrooms, He must have
increased the bedrooms.
Mr. pantos confirmed that it was a bash Title V. The intent was to use the
same leaching system and to tie the two systems into that same leaching.
He asked Mr. Harrington if he had any problems with this request.
Mr. Harrington responded that he had no problems with this request. They
were not the department pushing for the denitrification system. They are
in a so-called nitrogen sensitive area. But, it hasn't actually been
designated as such for Title V reasons. The BOH couldn't really enforce it
until the DEP calls it that. There are two halves to the nitrogen loading.
The first is the Zone 11 and the other is nitrogen sensitive embayment, Mr.
Sherman has the conservation issues and he was happy with the
calculations with the four systems and the two systems.
1r. Santos asked if there were any variances.
Mr. Harrington responded that there weren't any variances.
2
