Mr. Harrington stated that it upset him when they sat down with the town
planner for a whole afternoon discussing what they wanted to see on
these plans and they ignore him.
Mr. Santos added that Mr. Fudala was on his best management practices
and probably doesn't realize that the outfall pipe going across the nice
grassy area, the pend fills up with the bubbler conning up with infiltrators
underground or just a trench with pipe going through it and stone around
it was all that was necessary, He stated that even though they don't have
the big standard ponds, but now that the water that comes out of the
catch basins and goes across the grassy areas is the best management
practices because it removes the nitrogen from it. When they get the
heavy flog of water they don't want to have a mosquito breeding ground.
Ms. Warden stated that the BOH wouldn't issue the septic permits until
they have met the requirements.
Mr, Santos agreed. He re-iterated his motion. Ms. Grady seconded the
motion. Motion passed.
. Formal board vote required to rescind prior smoking regulation and
response from residents:
Ms. Warden told Mr. Santos that they needed to sign this.
Mr. Santos added that he had spoken to Mr. Harrington who brought up
the point that the BOH made the motion to modify the existing smoking
regulation. The existing one was still in the books. They never did vote to
rescind the original regulation. It was pretty much a formality. He didn't
think that it mattered that Mr. Ball wasn't present. He didn't think that Mr.
i
Ball would vote to modify or rescind it,.
Mr. Harrington interjected that Mr. Ball carne in yesterday. He advised Mr.
Ball that he had-would make the request of the other board members that
they rescind the original regulation. He had no problem with the vote to
rescind the original regulation. Mr. Ball was under the impression that this
was going to happen and was not going to challenge it. He didn't think
that the previous vote between Mr. Ball and the former board member Mr.
Doherty had done actually mattered.
Mr. Santos felt that they only voted to not do anything about the existing
regulation. Dight now if they had a change of heart and made a motion to _
re-visit the smoking regulation. They just found out that there had been
significant improvements with air filtration systems, which would warrant
another look at the regulation,
10
