Mr. Harrington interjected that that was their original bid, He continued b
stating that they found out why they didn't actually reduce it. Their
original proposal to the board said "semi-annual" not "quarterly'. sloe
Longo had already figured in on his original proposal that he was going to
get the reduction. Mr. Harrington wasn't really pleased with that because
he did say anything when he seat there the second letter.
Ills; 'Warden noted that they were back to Woodard & Curran.
Mr. Harrington added that Woodard & Curran ended up at $19600,00.
IVIS. Grady wanted to know what "engineering services optional' meant&
Mr,, Harrington noted that in the original proposal it included the actual 5
surveying of the monitoring wells because they were not in the exact
location. He didn't think that that was worthy of doing, He didn't think that
that was going to gain there anything.
Ms. Grady stated that it was actually $19600.000
Mr. Ball thought that it would b $19600.00 with the reduction,
Ms. Warden noted that the overall contract was going to b $79600.00.
Mr. Ball asked what Mr. Harrington's recommendation was going to be,
Mrs Harrington n ted that the original bid was $23,600-00. Their fiscal
year 104 for quarterly i $23600.00* If it gets reduced it was going down to
$19,600,000
Ms, Grady noted that for Horsley and Witten was$22975-00 for bi-annual
j and they still didn't do what Mr. Harrington asked them to do in the letter.
Mr. Harrington agreed that that was correct because they had already
given the board the bi-annual numbers for two tines per year. He didn't
truly know what their number was for quarterly monitoring.
Ms. Warden rioted that Woodard & Curran came in with the best overall for
both requests* They were kind of hoping that Horsley & Witten would have
cone in a little lowerr. But, Woodard & Curran seems to be doing a fine
job. They certainly have been good at notifying people when work was
being done,
Mr. Ball asked how long they have been doing the job, A year?
i
12
