in for irrigation only.
IIT. Warden asked Mr. Ball if he remembered the Greek gentleman and the
volatiles that were detected.
Mr. Ball did remember this man and the fact that they made him shut his
well down, He remembered that they let him put the well in and test for
volatiles. If it carne up positive he would have to shut it down. He lost the
battle.
Nis, Warden suggested that the board recommend that the homeowner
test for volatiles on an annual basis or bi-annually.
Mr. Ball would like to see the results of the testing from the well and from
the proposed irrigation wrell.
Nis. Warden added that they were looking at the results of the monitoring
report with the volatiles at 1001 below the ground surface. The water level
in that area was at ".
Mr. Ball noted that he would be digging the well from 45 to 601. They could
also Inuit the depth of the well, He didn"t mind making the depth of the
well a condition and requiring him to do a volatile test once a year. He felt
that 601 was adequate.
Ir. Harrington also wanted to recommend that they at least get
concurrence from MMR. He didn't want the irrigation well to disrupt their
extraction well testing, He doesn't want it to change the mottling in any
way. He knew that was one reason why they didn't want any other type of
extraction going on through potable or irrigation wells. It messed up their
numbers and the gradient. He would like to get their concurrence at least.
If they say that it does then the homeowner will have to forget it.
Mr. Ball asked if they wanted to continue this.
Mr. Harrington asked if he wanted to approve it contingent upon that
getting a yea or a-nay from the military, On the other hand if he wanted to
wait for the results, by all means, they could continue it and wait for the
results and the military's answers
Ars. Ball felt that it was best to continue this until all the questions had
been answered.
Ms. Grady rade a motion to continue Mr. Ball seconded the motion. The
notion passed.
2
