i
I
t
were literally in hock up to their eyeballs now to just buy the place and
get it open.
Mr. Sall felt that it kind of placed therm in a semi-hardship situation.
Mr. Harrington added that the current system that was in place was a
galley system that was huge. There shouldn"t be any problem with it.
Mr. Sall interjected that Mr. McNulty needed to tell the board that it would
place hire in a some type of"hardship" situation if he were forced to
install the retro-fit before the year was over. Otherwise the board would
not be able to grant hire this request.
Mr. Harrington added that typically they allow people to work on these
types of projects at the end of the summer season when things slow down
at least after Labor Day. If they went to Columbus Day in October they
were rolling the dice with Breather. It ought to be closer to labor if they
wanted to do that.
Mr. Santos suggested that by September 1", 2004, they have plans
submitted to the board for approval with a time frame for installation in
the fall.
Mr. Harrington recommended that they go earlier with the plane such as
.duly 4 1h9 2004. Cape & Islands site work is done. They have the site plan
portion of it done. They only have to revise the plan and ultimately put the
denitrification system on the plan. The DER was not going to see this plan.
Mr. Santos was only suggesting that they give Mr. McNulty the extra time
to gather more financial means to pay Cape & Islands to do the plan.
Mr. Harrington did not want to schedule the date for the plans after Labor
Day because the board usually only met once a month during the summer:
Mr. McNulty didn't know the overall figure for this project. He understood
that they already had the plans from the original system because they did
its
Mrs Harrington added that the number of seats hasn't changed and they
weren't making any major additions to the building'as far as footprint or
going up in stories* There doesn't have to be any big additional requests
or over any limits that would kick therm into DER review. It was merely the
board's approval.
[s. Warden suggested that they have plans for June 1It, 2004.
30
