i
Y
1
Mr. Santos stated that they were only approving the nitrogen aggregation-
lo ding plan. Might?
F
Ms, Grady re-iterated that the only way they could approve it was with the
use of the conservation land owned by the town* Right?
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Harrington if they had ever done this with conservation
land?
Mr. Harrington stated that they had net done it with conservation land.
Ills. Grady understood the steps that she would have to take. She wasn't
willing...it would be a whole ether matter if itwasn't owned by the town.
She was not going to stand up at a town meeting and support this idem
Mr. Ball interjected that was actually not the use of the land. They were
adding it on to the other land.
MIs. Grady stated that she had conservation land across the street from
her.
Mr. Ball asked how that worked. If they approved this then people to use
conservation land for nitrogen loading within the same Zone ll areas. This
did not say that this would go in front of the local conservation
commission.
Mr. Harrington felt that conservation oversaw the maintenance of the
land,. But, it was ultimately the selectmen and the town. The legislature
would make the final decision.
Mr. Ball asked if conservation would have a voice in this matter since they
oversaw the land itself.
Mr. Harrington responded that they were not one of the approving
authorities for the nitrogen aggregation plan. The board of health was the
first, then the BEP, the town at the torn meeting and thea the legislature.
That how he understood it.
Mr. Ball asked if it would be fair to say that he would like Mr. Sherman, in
conservation, aware of this situation and ask hires for a comment before
they made a decision.
Mr. Weinstein stated that he had a letter from Mr. Sherman granting him
permission to use that land dating back to when he first began doing this
four years ago.
8
