op
night for a week, They would like to continue to reach out to families that
were struggling with challenges along with the seniors. They did go to the
Mashpee rotary to see if they would help them. They were doing it out of.
their own funds and tips. The Rotary had backed them with some money
to get their staplest They would like to go to the senior center at this
stage just one day a week on Monday, which was their common day off.
They would prepare meals for the need. Ms. Patrick had been made aware
of their program. It could be something the community might embrace and
grow, They might need grants sooner or later. The rotary was going to
offer manpower as well as money, Ms. bills has come on as their servsafe
person she said that she was happy to have something to do. They were
excited to have her.
Ms. warden interjected that Ms. Stanley was here to ask the board to
waive the fee for the food establishment permit.
Ms. Stanley wanted to put the money towards food.
Mr. Santos asked if the senior center had the facility there. why didn't_
they go in there permanently?
Ms. Warden stated that they couldn't do that because it was two separate
entities. The Elder services have their own staff that are servsafe trained.
They cook the meals and then they are gone.
Mr. Santos asked how they could permit the same establishment with
three different agencies.
Ms. Warden stated that they didn't do that. They permit the Elder Services
of cape cod. They did not permit the council on Aging.
Mr. Santos stated that the reason he was asking was because with a
permanent establishment it was usually just one owner and one
establishment.
Ms. Warden stated that they were permitting the organization and not the
building.
Ills. Stanley stated that they were currently calling themselves the
"Friends of l lashpee Families".
Mr. Santos said that he would second the motion. But, he felt they should
contact the state because he felt that they had never permitted the same
establishments under different names.
1
