maintenance contract for the re-circulating sand filter to include total
• nitrogen quality for two-years and coliforms quarterly for two-year for the
U/V unit.
Mr. Costa asked him to repeat that last statement because he missed.
Mr. Harrington re-iterated the statement and added that it was standard
for the board's regulations.
Mr. Santos stated that they had all of these variances. But, there were no
variances to the wetland. He pointed out the area that Conservation had
delineated this as the work line. Where they calling this the coastal bank
or...?
Mr. Costa stated that they were calling it the edge of the BVW.
Mr. Harrington felt that it wasn't a coastal bank but a BVW.
Mr. Santos noted that there was 65' to the BVW. There was no wording in
the variances for the BVW setbacks. It was what they wanted to see. But,
there was no language on the variances.
• Mr. Costa was under the misunderstanding that the UV was mitigation for
the setbacks.
Mr. Harrington stated that the variances needed to be requested.
Mr. Santos stated that the variances needed to be in writing.
Mr. Harrington stated that he had the reference for him to use.
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Costa if he wanted them to accept the plan with the
following changes to be finalized by the health agent.
Mr. Costa asked if he could revise and then bring them back to Mr.
Harrington.
Mr. Harrington felt that Mr. Costa should speak with his client since it was
a pretty major change to go from a foundation to piles.
Mr. Santos felt that they should continue this until the next meeting.
Mr. Ball made a motion to continue this agenda item until the next
meeting. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed.
• APPOINTMENT: Michael Grotzke - 95 Whippoorwill Road
26
