J
r
rather than having to come hack since the technical elements will he the same and
the setbacks will not change. what they had been discussing here was that instead of
a PAST system there would he a change to an Amphidr me system. The tank would
be slightly different. The critical elements will remain as shown n,the plan before
the board members. whether the additional one-foot in change of elevation of the
coastal hank would not really affect the merit of the plan. It would remain as the
hoard sees it now.
Mr. Ball asked if Mr. Grotzke believed that the leaching would be out of the coastal
hank area as delineated by Mr. Sherman.
Mr. Gr t l e stated that it would definitely he outside of the coastal bank.
Mr. Harrington agreed that it would he 150' of their regulation. It would actually he
n the seaward side. They were not even on the landward side 150'.
Mr. Gr t l e stated that one thing he wanted to mention that these were the existing
conditions. It would he like constructing a large
retaining wall with from the left to the right side of the lot.
Mr. Harrington advised Mr. trot ke that he needed to show the nitrogen loading
calculations on the plan. The propel was less than 10,00 0 square feet and he
needed the credit from the IA system. The minimum square footage was 6000. The
denitrification system gave him the 10,000 square feet for the lot. He added that
variance number five should he a 150' setback. He continued by starting that with
this property being as difficult as it was. The board could still as a condition that
they find another piece of property. They do meet the nitrogen-loading portion of it
with the other variances. But, as far as Title V...
Mr. Ball suggested that they get a set of plans with everything correct n it with all
of their concerns addressed on it.
Mr. Santos was in agreement with Mr. Ball,
Mr. Ball made a motion to continue. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion .
passed.
DISCUSSION:
A. DCPC Meeting & Comments
Mr. Harrington stated that at the previous meeting he discussed some of his
comments as Mr. Santos had attended the chairman of the selectmen's meeting at the
DCPC. Also, Ms. Mason had requested that the department heads come up with
some comments. He just wanted to submit those comments to the hoard members for
review. That was the memo dated August 301', 2004. He also attended the meeting at
the high school in the auditorium regarding the DCPC. It was basically the planning
2
