x
Mr. Harrington added that they could Mill throve the no renal at him.
Mr. Santos stated that maybe he had an excuse, maybe he did not.
Ms. Warden asked for clarification kation n the fine. Was it $300.00 as of the 1st?
Ms. Grady stated that it would commence after the 2 t',
Mr. Santos made a notion for the owner ofThe Flume, Mr. McNulty to appear-
beforethe board at the next scheduled meeting on October 281h, 2x004. At which time
he will explain his failure to comply with the board order regarding the installation
ofth ,denitrification system in conjunction with Regulation 70. His failure to
comply with this order to appear would result in a $300.00 fine per day beginning
October 291', 2004 and the possible nor-renewal of his food establishment license at
the first of the year. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed.
4. Request for Commercial Establishment Review:: d G voni—451 Nathan Ellis Hvv
Mr. Harrington began by stating that he had no problem with this request because
they were putting all the flow into the tight tank. That eliminated the Title v issues
other than the approval of the tank. The one thing h .mould like to do was check
i further with Mr. Dudley of the DEP regarding the tank. Mr. Dudley reminded hire
that there was a secondary containment requirement. He thought that if he put down
poly liner or a membrane could act as a secondary containment.
Mr. Santos asked what it was going to be holding.
Ms. Carron stated that it was going to be used by a hair salon.
Mr. Harrington confirmed that it would be holding dyes and stuff like that. It would
still have to be pumped and taken to a wastewater treatment facility. It was
considered non-industrial and non-hazardous. But, they were going to be putting
everything dyes, black and gray water waste into the one tank. There were no Title
V issues as far as adding Title v flow to the property. That was hove they got around
it. They only had room for to chairs. It was 100 GPD per chair and they wanted
four chairs. So he gave there the option to say you either put all of your flow into
one tank or do the two chairs. She needed the four chairs to make the business
numbers work out. They were going to go with pumping.
Mr. Santos asked if this was going to he a concrete tank.
Ir. Harrington stated that they were proposing a concrete tank right now. He would
just have to double check with the DEP to see if a coating would suffice such as an
asphalt coating to water test it, Or would they need another membrane or poly
setting it don within th whole and sating the tank on that if that would suffice. He
hadn't gotten that far, }
1
