2006. Failure to comply with the stated order will result in immediate revocation of the Association's
license to operate a semi-public swimming pool. The letter also recommended that a representative of
the condo Board of Trustees contact the BOH during the 2006 pool season to ensure compliance with all
pertinent regulations.
Septic Inspection Deport—26 Lithe Nock Lane
Glen Hardngton stated that he had asked John Graci to Measure and pint down the distanbes for the
cesspools so that he can actually say It needs further evaluabon as to less than 50 feet for the distance to
the salt marsh. The corer and inside lip of the first cesspool are cracked. The overflow cesspool is at the
edge of the driveway. The top of the coastal bank is 20 ft., and the bottom of the bank where the salt
marsh begins is 30 ft. from the cesspools. Glen Harrington is requesting further evaluation by the 130H.
Some determination must be made as to what has to be done. Glen Harrington's recommendation is
that an H20 1500 gallon tank be put in, and have the cesspool become the overflow, because it is an
operating cesspool.
Glenn Santos stated that there are two issues for the BOH to consider. One is: protection of a future
buyer of the property, and two is: BOH requirements to stay within their regulations to protect the
environment and health of the community. Glen Harrington stated that the Board has tq use the
information available to make a determination whether the existing system is failing to the point where it is
harming the environment and failing to protect public health safety. Glenn Santos recommended that
because of the effect on Ockway Bay, the 130H require a system upgrade to the standard Title V system
which includes a tank and D Box. Further investigation is needed before making a final decision.
Glenn Santos made a motion to continue the decision to the next BOH meeting. Lucy Burton seconded
the motion. All approved.
11 Taffrall Way, Mashpee
Mr. trot ky, the engineer of record, is no longer in the country. Ron installed the system; they are
looping for a CO. BOH can't sign off on that until they issue a Certificate of compliance, which has not
been issued. The As Built from John Graci, the installer, has been issued} it has been inspected and we
know where everything is. T here actually has to be more work done because one line was not connected
up `
Veronica Warden stated that we need proof that the system went in. We've got the inspection report.
We've got the installer to sign off on the As Built plea. What we are missing is the engineer's design
certification, since lir. Grotky is out of the country. Veronica suggested that the SOH authorize another
engineering firm to certify installation of the septic system, in order to issue a certificate of compliance.
Glenn Santos made a motion that the BOH require another engineering firm to cer*the installation of
the septic system at 11 Taffrail Way, as noted on the As Wilt, in order that the BOH can issue the
certificate of compliance in lieu of requesting a variance from the DEP. Lucy Burton seconded the
motion. All approved.
DISCUSSION
Emergency Dispensing sites& Emergency Preparedness Upstate—FYI
Glen Farrington stated that he needs more time to prepare for a discussion on the topic.
Innovative/Alternative septic system Enf rc rr enVPenalti s for Carmody Tracking Software -FYI
Glen stated that the three violations being tracked are:
- people who tu'rn their systems off
- people not doing the sampling
people not maintaining their contract
The Carmody tracking software has the ability to put in violation timelines, and put In pre-set order letters
on a warning basin or a basis or$100 basis for these violations.
