• <br /> Kalliope Egloff made a motion that, going forward, a copy of an organization's nonprofit <br /> status be attached to all nonprofit fee waiver requests. Burton Caplan seconded the <br /> motion. All approved. <br /> . Request for Temp rary Food Pennit: Michael J- Miller for seaside Lem ns <br /> Glen Harrington stated that Michael Miller will be the person in charge of the Sea Side <br /> Lernans event sponsored by the Bourne/Sandwich Rotary Club, at the Nlashpee <br /> Commons. Michael Miller is Sery Safe certified. <br /> Burton Kaplan made a motion to approve the request for a temporary food permit <br /> submitted by Michael Miller for Sea Side Le cans on Sept. 6, 2008, subject to Board of <br /> Health inspection prior to the event. Lucy Burton seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> 8, Lakeside Estates— laft'Haney <br /> Iltt Haney introduced himself to the Hoard as the manager of Lakeside Estates, and <br /> explained that he was here tonight in place of his attorney Kevin Kirrane, who was <br /> unable to attend the meeting. Lucy Burton stated that Lakeside Estates was not on the <br /> meeting agenda for tonight, but had been scheduled for a hearing at the 7/23108 BOH <br /> meeting. haft Haney stated that he had called the BCH office the afternoon of 7123/08 <br /> to say that both he and Attorney Sevin Kirran.e could not attend the meeting that night <br /> and asked for a continuation of the hearing until the BOH meeting on 8/13/08.. The <br /> BOH on 7123108 voted to deny Blatt Haney's continuation request, and to continue the <br /> $500 per day fine for noncompliance with BOH orders as outlined in a BOH letter dated <br /> 2!14108. <br /> Matt Haney stated that he had not enclosed the dumpsters at Lakeside Estates wi.th a <br /> gate because it would not keep outsiders from leaving their trash in front of the gate. Mr. <br /> Haney stated that he would install surveillance cameras on the dur psters for-two <br /> weeks, instead of installing a gate, so that the individuals leaving their trash would get <br /> caught in the act. Lucy Burton then reiterated to Matt Haney that Lakeside Estates has <br /> not yet complied with all 5 requirements outlined in the 2114108 order letter to Lakeside <br /> Estates, including executing contracts with both a waste hauling company and with a <br /> pest control company. <br /> Lucy Burton stated that Nutt Haney should instruct his aftomey to get in touch with Town <br /> Counsel to work out a resolution of the issue between the BOH and Lakeside Estates. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1- I ill wbend— 184-186 Quinnaquisset Avenue <br /> Glen Harrington reported receipt of an email from Nandi Regan regarding progress on <br /> the demolition work at 184-186 Quinnaquisset Avenue. Fundi Regan reported that she <br /> is getting several quotes from contractors for the work, and has had <br /> Keyspan/NationalGrid out to the site to begin their work for removal of the meters. She <br /> has also scheduled the water ureters to be removed by next week and is currently trying <br /> to get NStar to take care of their ureters. Fundi Regan stated that she will contact Glen <br /> Harrington when the demolition work-is scheduled to begin. The Fire Department has <br /> also been notified to determine whether they would like to do a training burn to demo the <br /> buildings. No response has been received back from the Fire Department as yet. <br /> 3 <br />
