w. <br /> The Board of Health received an email from Jennifer Bowman, Director of Development <br /> for the ARC of Greater Boston, who stated that she is interested in pursuing Seashore <br /> Kennels in court. Jennifer Bowman stated that she adopted a puppy from Seashore{ <br /> Kennels on 6103/08 that was suffering from an ear infection, and it also started vomiting <br /> within 24 hours after she took ownership. The puppy has not had one reek of life <br /> without visiting the emergency room. The final diagnosis for the puppy was <br /> inflammatory bowel disease and lymphagiectasia, both being congenital, and will require <br /> a lifetime of treatment. Ms. Bowman wants to shut the Pelleys down, and asked for <br /> support from the 1lashpee BOH. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that Veronica Warden is continuing to monitor the Pelley property <br /> at 171 Falmouth-Sandwich Road, for any signs of activity. #calliope Egloff stated that <br /> until the Pelleys sell the property, she felt that the BOH should continue to monitor the <br /> property. Should the Pelleys return to the property, retroactive action could, 'and should, <br /> be taken against the Pelleys. <br /> . Lakeside Estates Trailer Park— Update <br /> Glen Harrington reported that one of the Lakeside Estates occupants called the BOH <br /> with the coraP laint that Mr. Haney would not allow the occupant to order a pumping <br /> company to pump his septic system. The occupant stated that his plumbing was not <br /> draining correctly. Glen Harrington stated that he went to the trailer park and explained <br /> to the occupant that they did not have the right to order his septic system pumped <br /> because they are not the owners of the property. Glen Ham*ngton stated further that he <br /> advised the occupant to have a plumber come to investigate their drainage problem,'arid <br /> if it was found that the drainage problem was the result of septic backup, thea IIIb. Tinder Box - Update <br /> Glen Harrington stated that he has heard nothing from Tinder Box, and stated that the <br /> BOH-approved 30 day extension period for the completion of the Tinder Box exhaust <br /> system installation is good through the end of September. <br /> 4. I illowbe d —184-186 Quiniquisset Avenue— Update <br /> Glen Harrington reported that all the utility meters have now been removed, and the oil <br /> tank is still there at the far end of the property. Glen Harrington stated that he is <br /> continuing to stay in touch with Nandi Regan on progress at the property. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> 1. Town of Barnstable Restaurant t Report card —cape cod Times Article of <br /> /14108 <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the Torn of Barnstable restaurant report card, published in <br /> the Cape Cod Times on 0/14/08, was one method of enforcement of their BOH <br /> regulations. There are two Ilashpee Health Agents who conduct unannounced periodic <br /> inspections; violations are rated and posted at the restaurants in violation of town <br /> regulations; and the BOH has a clear definition of action taken against violators, <br /> including fines, probation periods, and possible closures. The Board agreed to continue <br /> discussion of the topic until a full Board is present. <br /> . 2008 BOH Fee schedule <br /> Kalliope Egloff stated that she is interested in learning more about the Town of Brewster <br /> green burials and requested that Glen Harrington provide more information about it.
