Mrs. Botsford is <br /> gaiting for instructions from DHCD. <br /> old Barnstable Road 705 : Mrs. Botsford reported that there is one eviction <br /> that Inas been started due to the tenant having several oats. A court agreement <br /> was entered into which requires the tenant to stop feeding and sheltering stray <br /> cats. It allows the housing authority to conduct inspections of the property with <br /> only one hour notice. A survey is being conducted to get input from the 705 <br /> residents to see what changes or improvements are important to them in the <br /> coming year. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that we have 3 AHVP vouchers, 25 M VP Mobile, 2 <br /> Project Based Vouchers, 18 section 8 Certificates: and 9 Section 8 Vouchers <br /> leased in Mashpee. <br /> Home er Village Resident Association: None <br /> Old Business: <br /> Donation to F'airwinds: Mrs. Botsford reported that Karen Rudd had checked with the <br /> State Auditors as she said she would and they stated that it was fine to make donations <br /> as long as they were reasonable in amount. A motion was made by IVH Fenton. and <br /> seconded by Ids. Younger to donate $50.00 t the Fair Inds Supportive Housing <br /> Program. The motion was adopted. <br /> NEW BUSINESS* <br /> 1 <br /> Fent Collection PoliM I rs.. Botsford explained that the new regulations change the <br /> procedure for rent collection i.e. due date) and allows for charges to tenants who are <br /> rate with their payments. After much discussion about whether to charge a fee or <br /> penalty to tenants who are 30 days late with rent, a motion n was made by Ms. Younger <br /> and seconded by Ms. Fenton to adopt a new Fent collections Policy t incorporate <br /> the new state Regulations 760 CMR 6.00 and include a clause which charges a <br /> penalty of 10° f the rent due after 30 days. The motion was adopted. <br /> Medical Allowances Polio: Mrs. Botsford explained that Attorney Pat Grace suggested <br /> that housing authorities adopt guidelines for acceptable and unacceptable medical <br /> allowances for use when doing rent calculations and suggested using the IRS <br /> guidelines. A copy of the current IIS allowed/disallowed expenses was reviewed a <br /> motion was made by.IVIS. F1ntn and seconded by ll . Younger to adopt a Medical <br /> Allowances Policy that is consistent with the IRs guidelines. The motion was <br /> adopted. <br />
