Mrs. Botsford stated that a letter was sent to DHCD requesting permission to close the two- <br /> bedroom list and is s aping a response from them. <br /> For a social activity, in addition to bingo this month, the housing authority had a scavenger <br /> hunt on Saturday, the 15'of May which also served as a benefit to the Grist the King Food <br /> Pantry. Mrs. Botsford reported that there were four teams who collected a lot of food and <br /> also some cash to donate to the food pantry. Over $700.00 worth of prizes were distributed <br /> to the teams and everyone got a prize. Many participants asked for another Scavenger Hunt <br /> next year. Mrs. Botsford reported that she sent thank you letters to all of the stores and <br /> restaurants that donated prizes and gift certificates. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that she has a meeting scheduled with the Homeyer village Residents <br /> later this month with topics to include working, rights to peaceful enjoyment, and filing <br /> complaint. <br /> Old 15yMstable Road_(_705): Mrs. Botsford reported that the vacated unit has been completely <br /> renovated, with the exception of the-carpeting which has been ordered and should be installed <br /> within the next week or so. The next residents have.been selected and are prepared to move <br /> in as soon as the carpeting is done. <br /> Mrs* Botsford will start working again to get a couple proposals to fix all of the formica in all <br /> the kitchens and bathrooms at the 705 development. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that we have 2 AHVP vouchers, 25 MRVP Mobile, 29 Project Based <br /> Vouchers, 18 Section 8 Certificates, and 9 Section 8 Vouchers leased in Mashpee. <br /> ELECTIONS OF OFFICES: <br /> The Chairman announced the opening of nominations for election of Chairperson of the <br /> Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. A motion was made by Mr. <br /> Peoples and seconded by Ms. Williams to nominate Marie Younger for the position of <br /> Chairperson; The motion carried. A motion was made by Ms. Orlando and seconded by <br /> Nis. Williams to close nominations for Chairperson. The motion carried. A motion was <br /> made by FIs.Williams and seconded by Ms. Younger for the Secretary to cast <br /> unanimous ballot for Chairperson. The motion carried. The Chairman announced the <br /> opening of nominations for election of Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners for <br /> the Mashpee Housing Authority. A motion was made by M . Younger and seconded by Ms. <br /> Williams to nominate Lorri Finton for the position of vice-Chairperson. The motion <br /> carried. A motion was made by his. Younger and seconded by Ms. Williams to close <br /> nominations for Chairperson. The motion carried. A motion was made by Ms. Younger <br /> and seconded by Ms. Williams for the Secretary to cast a unanimous ballot for Vice- <br /> Chairperson. The motion carried. The Cbainnan announced the opening of nominations <br /> for election of'treasurer of the Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. <br /> motion was made by Ms. Younger and seconded by Ms. Finton to nominate Laverne <br /> Williams for the position of Treasurer. The motion carried. A notion was made by Ms. <br /> Orlando and seconded by Ms. Younger to close nominations for "treasurer.
