Rent eiin uencies: Mrs. Botsford stated that we have all rents paid in full at Horneyer Village and <br /> A he s Path. We have one resident at Breezy Acres who has still not paid in full, but is making <br /> arrangements for assistance through the Needy Fund and Housing Assistance corp. A fourteen-day <br /> notice to quit was issued. A motion was made by Nis.Allen and tended by r# Halpern to <br /> accept the treasurer"s report as presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> EXECUTIVE DI ECTOW REPORT: <br /> Mrs. Botsford remarked that she had mailed her report to the beard for the months September and it is <br /> attached to these minutes as Attachment A. <br /> 1 have provided to you all a copy of our application to the CPA Committee for additional funding <br /> for the Breezy Acres expansion project. <br /> DHCD has forwarded funding so we are able to resume work on the two vacant units. <br /> I've prepared the Asher's Path proposed budget and submitted it to Peabody Properties for <br /> approval. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Town lard available for development: Mrs. Botsford stated that she had asked Betsy Collins to review the <br /> large piece of property that we were considering (abutting the Breezy Acres property) and her.response <br /> was that she didnft think housing development would be funded because of the power lines. Mr. Halpern <br /> and Ms. Allen will review other pieces of property available for development in town and we will review at <br /> the next meeting. <br /> Breezy Acres Expansion Project: Mr-s. Botsford provided all members with a copy of the application that <br /> has been submitted to the Town's Community Preservation Act Committee. She will keep members <br /> pasted. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Adoption of Section 8 Fair Market Rents and Utility Allowances: Mrs. Basford provided the board with the <br /> HUD issued Fair Market Rents and the neva Utility Allowance Schedules. After a brief discussion a motion <br /> was made by Mr. Halpern and seconded by Nis. Allen to adopt the Fair Market stents at 110% <br /> effective for November 1, 2008. The notion carried. <br /> After a brief discussion a notion was made by Ms. Allen and seconded by lir. Hallp m to adopt <br /> the Utility Allowance Schedules as presented effective for November 1, 2008. The notion <br /> carried. <br /> Dum t r at Breezy Acres: Mrs. Botsford stated that she put this on the agenda for the board to consider. <br /> The housing authority spends approximately $200/month or $2,400/year) for a dump ter at Breezy <br /> Acres. Dump stickers are$75.00 a year. If the hoursing authority paid for a dump sticker for each <br /> resident, vire could save almost $2,000/year. A discussion ensued and it was decided to table this item to <br /> next month for further discussion and considerations <br /> Housing Authority Non--profit. Mrs. Botsford stated that the housing authority's non-profit, the Mashpee <br /> Affordable Horsing Trust, has been inactive for a couple gears. There have been no meetings or activity. <br /> There is just over 900 in the bank account. After a brief discussion a notion was made by Ms. Allen <br /> and seconded by Mr. Halpern to hold a meeting of the non-profit,, dissolve its,and disperse <br /> $goo to the housing authority to spend as we see fit. The notion carried. Mrs. Botsford stag <br /> that she would like to use some of the money for things for the residents. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: <br /> CPA(community.Preservation Act)update l eport from liaison: Mr. Halpern gave a brief update. <br />
