i
I
OLD BUSINESS:
Town land available for development: Mrs. Botsford informed the board that she will be attending the
nextSelectmen's meeting on February 23 to discuss our request.
Bree y Acres Expansiion_Pr ect: Mrs. Botsford advised the board that she met with Mass Housing
Partnership about-the Breezy Acres Expansion project and starting to put together the Request for
Proposals (RFP) for that development. There are a fever things that we need to be aware of and a
decision to be made about the subdivision. Because of public procurement laws there is no guarantee
that we would be selected by the developer to manage the neer units; however, since it is such a small
development and we already have units on the property, we would be the most attractive (arid logical)
manager. The property will need to be subdivided. The housing authority needs to decide whether to
include this as the developer's responsibility in the RFP or whether vire will do it ourselves. An IFP draft
should be available for the March meeting for the board to review and approve.
NEVA BUSINESS.
Asher's Path,Update: Ids. Botsford gage the beard an update about the most recent meeting she had with
the resident's of Asher"s Path and the numerous items that were brought to her attention. She explained
that there is ars informal resident association, but they have not approached Peabody Properties to be
recognized. Mrs. Botsford stated that she has been doing her best to work cooperatively with the
resident association's officer's, but there seems to be quite a bit of in-fighting and disorganization, so she
is not sure how long the association will last. Based on hove things are going when the housing authority
takes over management, she will decide whether or not to enter into an agreement for recognition.
Poligy on Satellite Dish Antennas ileo and/or audio Pro rammin Devices: Ms. Botsford informed the
board that there is currently no policy for this issue and the new residents moving into Breezy Acres want
to have a satellite dish installed. Mrs. Botsford provided the board with samples of two policies: one
allowing and one disallowing. After a brief discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Laporte and
seconded by Nor. Halpern to adopt the policy disallowing an satellite dishes/antennas/video
and/or audio Programming prices to be installed on the buildings and/or grounds at
housing authority properties The notion carried.
OTHER BUSINESS:
CPA (Community Prs ry i n Act).u pd ateReport from liaison: Mr. Halpern gave the board a brief
update. It was decided that the housing authority would not submit any applications this round.
COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE: None that hasn't already been discussed.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 530 PM at the Asher's Path
Common Room. A notion was made by Mr. Laporte and seconded by Mr. Halpern to adjourn.
The notion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
espectfull ubmitted,
f i
+Lei Botsford, Seiretary
ecutive Director
Attachment :
ExecutiveExecutelve Dir'ector`s Report
 -
