Board of Appeals Minutes-December 9, 1998 3 Mr. Nelson moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to the following conditions: • compliance with License Plan No. 2584, dated October 26, 1990. • the dock shall be installed within the three-foot contour line. • the float size shall be reduced to 8X16 feet. • the westerly side of the float shall be installed at elevation three. • the length of the dock shall be reduced to approximately 38 feet from the mean high water line. • findings 1,2,3 (approved by Shellfish and Conservation Commission), 4, 5. Mr. Guerrera seconded the motion. All agreed. Clifford W. Norling, Jr,—Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25,19 of the Zoning By-laws for the construction of a pier, ramp and float in Shoestring Bay on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 18 Quaker Run Road (Map 83 Block 212), Mashpee, MA, Members sitting; Edward M, Govoni,Robert G. Nelson and Richard T. Guerrera, Mr. Regan stepped down. Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape& Islands Engineering represented the applicant. He stated that the Conservation Commission has reviewed the project and an order of conditions is pending approval from the Board of Appeals. The Shellfish Commissioner has approved the proposal. Mr. Slavinsky stated that the length of the dock is 40 feet from the mean high water line. He also informed the Board that there are steep embankments with walkways accessing the dock, a typical 4-foot pier, a three-foot ramp and an 8-foot X 24- foot float, No comments were received from abutters. Mr. Nelson moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to criteria and findings 1 -- 5. Mr. Govoni seconded the motion. All agreed. Donald L. & Geraldine P. The proposal is for the construction of a dock that extends 57 feet from the mean high water mark, an 8-foot X 24-foot float and a 4-foot wooden pier with steps down the i' embankment. The project has been reviewed by the Conservation Commission. No comments were received from abutters
