Board of Appeals Minutes—October 14, 1998 5 <br /> Mr. Regan moved to take the application for Special Permit under advisement. Mr. <br /> Nelson seconded. All agreed. <br /> Miller Starbuck Construction Inc. -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.G.9 <br /> of the Zoning By-laws for permission to place two storage containers on property located <br /> in an 14 zoning district at 766 Falmouth Road (Map 88 Block 38 Unit 19), Mashpee, MA. <br /> (Owner of record: Eugene R Curry, Tr.) <br /> Members sitting: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> Mr. Philip Miller represented his application and informed the Board that the property <br /> was under a Purchase and Sale Agreement at the time he filed his application for a <br /> Special Permit with the Town Clerk. He is now the owner of the property. <br /> Mr. Govoni read a letter from Madaket Mills Corporation in opposition to the placement <br /> ,s <br /> of the storage containers on the property. The letter addressed concerns that the <br /> containers would be a deterrent to the complex and reduce real estate values, <br /> Greg Taylor from DPW approved the project. The Planning Department has also <br /> approved the proposal. <br /> l <br /> Mr. Miller submitted a letter from Madaket Place Condominium Association giving him <br /> permission to place the storage containers at the rear of the parking lot. The permission <br /> is granted on a twelve-month basis. Mr. Miller informed the Board that the storage <br /> containers are 10' X 40'. Mr. Govoni questioned if any hazardous material would be <br /> stored in the containers. Mr. Miller informed the Board that ladders, pipes, staging and <br /> roofing materials would be stored in the containers. He further stated that the containers <br /> would be located in an area where dumpsters have already been placed. He indicated that <br /> as an owner of a unit at 766 Falmouth Road, he wouldn't want to do anything to devalue <br /> his property. No comments were received from abutters. <br /> �- Mr. Regan moved to grant the Special Permit on a twelve-month basis, referencing Land <br /> Court Plan of Land in Mashpee, Mass., Land Court Case 38936A, dated December 27, <br /> 1984. Mr. Nelson seconded.
