Board of Appeals January 22, 1992 2 . <br /> judo Malls - Selectman Judy Mills suggested that Special <br /> Permit, applications be reviewed by the Town Planner. She <br /> said he would require a set of plans . Mr . Hanrahan stated <br /> that the Board has requested review of certain permits in the <br /> past and that his comments would be welcome but not directed <br /> verdicts . Mr , Makunas moved to amend the rules of the Board <br /> of Appeals to require three sets of plana with applications <br /> for Special Permits . Ms . Hawver seconded . All agreed . The <br /> changea will be effective March 1 , 1992 . <br /> There was discussion on the attendance of the Building <br /> Inspector at Board of Appeals meeting: and Mr . Boyd explainer) <br /> that the Selectmen had directed him to attend several years <br /> ago . He said that Town Counsel had ruled that the Building <br /> Department and Board of Appeals offices and files should be <br /> completely separate . Mr , Hanrahan explained the current <br /> procedure of distributing the Public• Hearing notices to all <br /> departments and that most departments automatically respond . <br /> There was discussion of the permits being reviewed by the <br /> Water District and the lots in the Groundwater Protection <br /> District . <br /> Mr . Friel questioned the budgets of the Board and the status <br /> Of Board requests for a computer printer. Mr . Makunas <br /> questioned if there was some Town committee reviewing the <br /> data processing needs of Town departments . He explained some <br /> Of the computer equipment in other departments and said that. <br /> the Board of Appeals office is now connected with the Di=gital <br /> word processing system and the Patriot assessor ` s system but <br /> does not have a printer. There was discussion of entering <br /> the Board of Appeals permits on the assessor ' s block and lot <br /> records . Ms . Mills said she would review the requests with <br /> )Sevin Harrington . She suggested that the Board send a memo <br /> to Mr . Harrington on the vacancy of an Associate Member . <br /> Mr . Makunas discussed the fact that the Planning Board does <br /> not have a Board of Appeals for their decision, . He said it <br /> had been suggested that a Board might be made up of one <br /> member of Design Review, Board of Appeals, etc . Ms . Mills <br /> said .she would be willing to help the Board in any way and <br /> Mr . Makunas said it might be necessary to improve access for <br /> legal opinions . Ms , Mills said the Selectmen were reviewing <br /> legal procedures . <br />
