Cape Cod <br /> Tech Mashpee enrollm'ents total 49. <br /> 8.6 Out-of-School Suspensions - Turing the month of <br /> November,mber, there were 18 suspensions for grades -12 and <br /> 14 for grades 7 and 8. <br /> 8.7 MCAS Update - Mr. Flu ry discussed the parental <br /> informational meeting that was held on December 4. In <br /> his press release, Mr. Fluery stated "The Mashpee MCAS <br /> scores show overall gains in grades 4, 8 and 10 as <br /> compared to prior administration of this exam in 1999 <br /> and 1998. We have seen improvement in all grades and in <br /> all areas compared to last year. Grade 4 increased their <br /> total score from 699 to71 o this year and heat the state <br /> average of 707. Of special note, grade 4 only had 1% <br /> failure in Science & Technology and % in <br /> English/Language Arts. Grade 8 showed great <br /> improvement by improving their overall score from 899 to <br /> 921, a gain f 22 points and beating the state average of <br /> 917. Grade ten also significantly increased their total <br /> score from 670 in 1999 to 691 this year, also beating the <br /> state average of 683. The grade 10 failing and advanced <br /> categories have improved greatly from 0% Math failure to <br /> % and in advanced from o% Math to 14%. <br /> 8.8 School Admissions Policy JEE .(revised) - Motion made by <br /> Mrs. cool, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approved the <br /> revised "School Admissions" Policy, JEE. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .9 Graduation Exercises Policy IKF - Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Cool, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the "Graduation <br /> Exercises" Policy IKF . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .lo Medications Policy - Discussion followed on this policy <br /> with the three school nurses in attendance. It was <br /> decided to hold a school nurse orientation to <br /> accommodate substitute nurses in the administration of <br /> medications to students. <br />
