<br /> 3.8 Executive Session — April 10, 2001 — Motion rade by Mrs. Cook, seconded
<br /> by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the minutes of the executive session held on April

<br /> VOTE: In favor — Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Lopez, and Mr. Caswell;

<br /> IV. Public Forum John Lynch, Steve Paxton and Greg Hunt addressed the Committee on a
<br /> proposal for establishing a Mashpee High School Boys Club Lacrosse team.
<br /> Currently there are 27 players. Cost to the district would be approximately
<br /> $3,625.00 broken down as follows: Officiating, $900; transportation, $2,500;
<br /> Coach, $2,000; Uniforms, $800; Equipment, $750; Supplies/Materials, $500
<br /> totaling $7,450 and with fundraising efforts the cost to the district would be
<br /> $3,625. After presenting their proposal, Mr. Fluery suggested Mr. Lynch, Mr.
<br /> Panton and Mr. Hurt meet with High School Principal Ira Brown and Athletic
<br /> Director Michael Horne,
<br /> This issue will be voted on at the Jura meeting,
<br /> V. Acknowledgements .1 Quashnet _School Math Night, Joy Blackwood — Mrs. Mills
<br /> commended Mrs. Blackwood's along with the efforts of her staff in this year's
<br /> math night activities. Due to the amount of attendees, it was suggested
<br /> perhaps two nights could be set wide for next year's math night .
<br /> ,2 Memo from Louise Doyle— a Tavares—In her memo dated April
<br /> 2 ,20015 Coombs School Principal Louise Doyle acknowledged Gary Tavares
<br /> f Tavares Landscaping and his crew for donating their time, energy and
<br /> efforts to excavate the ground for the Coombs School playground,
<br /> ,3 Mr. Caswell acknowledged the Class D Relays that were held at
<br /> Mashpee High School on Saturday,April 28 th.
<br /> ,3 Mr, Fluery noted he was invited to speak at the Mashpee warnpanoag
<br /> Tribal Council's meeting on April 2t'`. He thanked Stephanie Tobey and
<br /> Cher-y 1 Frye for the opportunity to attend this meeting.
