Approval of Minutes 4.1 Regular Meeting—May 1 2002—Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by <br /> Mr. Tbomas,to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on May 1,2002. <br /> VOTE: In favor—Mrs. Mills, 1\4r. Thomas, Mrs. Reis, and Mr. Caswell; abstained — <br /> Mrs. Lopez. <br /> 4.2 Executive Session—May 1,2002—Motion made by Mr.Caswell, seconded by <br /> Mr.Thomas,to approve the minutes of the executive session held on May 1,2002. <br /> VOTE: In favor—Mrs. Mills, Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Reis, and Mr. Caswell; abstained d— <br /> Mrs.Lopez. <br /> V. Public Forum Theresa Cook questioned the Committee if they were aware of an educational funding <br /> study committee. <br /> M . Cook addressed the Committee regarding settlement of the Unit C, Custodial and <br /> non-union contracts. She asked if they had been ratified prior to the upcoming <br /> discussion of the FY03 budget. Mr. Fluery said we are waiting for ratification of the <br /> Unit C and Custodial contracts while the'nn-union contracts areon-going. They will <br /> also be discussed in detail on Jure 27,2002. <br /> VI. Acknowled mens .1 `�Risin Stars"— Cape Cod Times — Included in the packet were write-ups of <br /> several seniors who were acknowledged for their achievements. They were: Lyle <br /> Hunt,Michael F. Lyons, and Matthew . Mitchell. Those students receiving honorable <br /> mentions were: Deona Brennan, Paula Cogliano, Monica M. Costello, Alexandra M. <br /> Crabtree, Nicole A. Du h rme, Sheri E. Durgin, Chanelle L. Houston, Nicholas Hyde, <br /> Christopher Maguire,and Christopher weixler. <br /> .2 Grant Awards — "Computers for Rids Fund" — Jour Blackwood, Pira Palmer, <br /> Robin Gepmatt, and Judy Lamle — These teachers were given grant awards from <br /> Comput rfor Kids Fuad in their efforts to obtain equipment outside the schools' line <br /> item budget and for aiding the system during this time ofbudgetary constraint. <br /> 6.3 Memo from Louise Doyle to Bob Scott dated Mw 1,2002—Coombs School <br /> Principal Mrs. Doyle thanked Mr. Scott and his staff for the food and beverages they <br /> provided during special events during the school year. <br /> .4 Letter from Walter Healey dated ,lune 51 2002 — Cape Cod Collaborative <br /> Director Walter Healey expressed appreciation to Mrs. Doyle and the Coombs School <br /> staff for their support of the Developmental Training Class that was housed in the <br /> Coombs School this year. <br /> At this point, Mrs. Mills publicly thanked the entire staff of the Mashpee Public <br /> Schools for their continued support this year. <br />
