x 4 <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITT E REF GANIZATI ONTfNANCE MEETING MAY 18 2005 <br /> PAGE 2 <br /> Discussion followed on traffic, Parking, fire control, alcohol and <br /> smoking on the high school premises, etc. It was suggested that Mr. <br /> Frederick set up a meeting with Chief Baker, Police Chief Collins, Mrs. <br /> Mason and the school department will have their contacts at the same <br /> meeting to discuss this event in detail. <br /> X. Leisure Services Mr. Frederick address the Committee on the current fee structure for <br /> "Application for organizations utilizing school facilities. It was suggested that Mr. <br /> Use of School Frederick meet with the high school sub-committee to discuss further. <br /> Facilities <br /> III, Business Adminis- Mr. .I oche discussed some of the following financial issues this evening: <br /> trtor's Report <br /> IV. F Y' 5 Budget Update I The FY05 budget noting a total of$60,000 of encumbrances <br /> shown at the Coombs School 10,000) and Quashnet School <br /> ($50,000)are for the initial phase of the textbook adoption. <br /> 2 $7,540 from the remaining Quashnet School expense account <br /> balances wil l be aIIoeated to help pay for the new Quash net gym <br /> ICAC units. <br /> 3) Possibly purchasing a new special education van with$14,250 <br /> from the FY06 funds. <br /> 4 Significant spec 1al education transportation deficit to be partially <br /> covered by Circuit Breaker funds. <br /> 5) Some of the special education tuition deficit to be covered by <br /> Circuit Breaker funds also. <br /> 6) Legal Services I's in deficit due to significant increase in hourly <br /> fees with new legal firm. <br /> .1 FY05 Budget Transfers — Motion made by Mr. Thomas, <br /> seconded by Mrs. Reis, to approve budget transfer #05-80-2 in <br /> the amount of $39,800. After some discussion regarding the <br /> Coombs School line item, Mr. Thomas withdrew his motion to <br /> approve. Mr. Roche will investigate and place on the June l" <br /> regular meeting agenda. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Reis, seconded by Mrs. Grady, to approve <br /> budget transfer# - -1 its the amount of $5,088.22.
