unreasonably deny or restrict the scheduling or performance of any work to be <br /> done on District buildings or grounds by BMG staff. <br /> 5 All custodial staff(hereinafter, "Custodial Staff') currently employed by the <br /> District, as identified by name and job description by Addendum B attached <br /> hereto, and all future Custodial Staff providing services at any District building <br /> location shall continue to be appointed by the building Principal and/or <br /> Superintendent in accordance with applicable provisions of G.L. c. 71. The <br /> Facilities Supervisor, Director of Public Works and, ultimately, the To <br /> Manager, shall be responsible for day to own <br /> day supervision, evaluation, and, as <br /> warranted, discipline of Custodial Staff, provided, however, that building <br /> Principals shall have the right to request and direct that Custodians perform <br /> specific tasks which the Principal deems necessary and appropriate for the <br /> maintenance of safety and the convenient and efficient operation of school <br /> activities. Notice of any such request or directive by a Principal shall be provided <br /> to the Facilities Supervisor as soon as possible. <br /> 6 The Town Manager and the Superintendent shall jointly establish written <br /> standards for the work to be performed by the Custodial staff and y <br /> an <br /> modifications to said standards, including modifications to the job descriptions <br /> appended hereto as Addendum B, shall be jointly established by the <br /> Superintendent and the Town Manager. <br /> 7 The school building Principal and/or the Superintendent shall have the right to <br /> participate in the written evaluation of each Custodial Staff member assigned to a <br /> school building. <br /> 8 Subject to applicable collective bargaining processes, no request for the removal <br /> of any Custodial Staff member from a District building for-just cause shall be <br /> unreasonably denied by the Town. <br /> 9 The obligation, if any, to bargain with any collective bargaining unit, and any <br /> decision making authority relative thereto, with regard to the implementation of <br /> the Consolidation shall be assumed by the Town. <br /> 2. Level o�n,i=es <br /> The Town and the District hereby acknowledge and agree that the intent and objective of <br /> the Consolidation is to maintain and improve the quality of maintenance for all Town and <br /> District buildings and grounds; to consolidate and provide for flexibility in use and <br /> assignment of BMG staff without any reduction in services to the District; to enhance the <br /> overall condition of all public buildings and grounds; and, to continue the Town's <br /> accomplish these objectives, the Town and the District agree to the following: focu <br /> on and commitment to long term maintenance of its buildings and grounds.
