Mr. Goggin <br /> mentioned that he would like to receive the historical sheet for <br /> enrollments, Mr. Golub montioned that Juan Bacigalupi was going to <br /> get that sheet to him. <br /> cIP vacancy <br /> Ms, King notified the Committee that she had contacted. Mary Jo <br /> Goulart and asked her if she would be interested in running for the <br /> CIP vacancy. Ms. King didn't think she was interested because the <br /> Committee meets in the afternoon. Mr, Goggin suggested inviting <br /> her to attend the 'finance Committee meetings. There. are two <br /> positions up for reelection in the spring. <br /> Mr, Golutb mentioned that he had asked the 'down Accountant about a <br /> $500,000 discrepancy between last year local receipts. Ms. ding <br /> asked that he wait and speak to the Town Accountant 6t their next <br /> meeting, which she is invited to attend. <br /> Request for Transfer <br /> "here was a request from the hoard of Health for $5665. t be <br /> transferred to the Nater Account, John Doherty, Chairman Board of <br /> Health, explained that the expenditure is unforeseen due to the <br /> unexpected discovery that the CS10 C10plume is much further advanced <br /> than preciously measured. This money will cover the cost of <br /> providing public water to ' the last nine remaining homes in the <br /> Horsesho Tritown circle area which are still on private wells. <br /> Mr, Golub was concerned that the Finance Committee would be setting <br /> a bad precedent if they approved this request. Where were <br /> questions as to why these nine homeowners did not hook up to the <br /> water, Mr, Doherty figured it was probably because of the cost. <br /> Mr. Golub felt that this would set a bad .precedent because ethers <br /> who suspected future contamination problebs, would just wait it out <br /> because eventually the Town would do it for then. <br /> The committee asked Mr. Doherty if these mine homeowners had been <br /> approached. The Committee felt that either the homeowners or the <br /> Tater District should be responsible for this and not the Town. <br /> Mr. Goggin suggested that the homeowners be given the same deal as <br /> the 'down and let them make payments for ' the work. The Water <br /> District is waiving their fees, but will not pay for installation. <br /> The Board of Selectmen have agreed to ware plumbing fees. Mr. <br /> Watt asked if the homeowners would be Willing two share risks that <br /> the Town would not be reimbursed? It appeared to Mr. Watt that the � <br />
