Mr. Goggin suggested that the Finance <br /> Committee review the Long Range Plan. Mr, Golub asked Ms. Lynch if <br /> the School Committee currently has a "must list" or a list of <br /> "start up costs" Ms. Lynch answered that there is such a list. <br /> Ms. King said that she would contact Dr, DeMoura, MS Lynch <br /> mentioned that on February 15th Dr, DeMoura is presenting Draft <br /> to the School, Committee, Mr, Golub asked i f Dr. DeMoura has been <br /> asked to prepare a "disaster budget's in the event he is funded only <br /> $8 million. <br /> Budget Requests <br /> The committee asked that Greg Taylor, DPW, as well as the Board of <br /> Health be invited to attend the next scheduled meeting on the 13th. <br /> The committee asked that the Fire Department and the council o <br /> Aging be scheduled for the next week, The Town Accountant had <br /> provided a Preliminary FY97 Budget Report. The Report shows that <br /> departmental requests total $24 mnillion, Last year their- requests <br /> totalled $21,2 million. <br /> Mike Kumin agreed to work with Juan Bacigalupi in getting <br /> information regarding the costs for printing and mailing the Town <br /> Report to all registered voters. <br /> The committee was able to vote on the Executive Session Minutes of <br /> January 2, 1996, Dan Goggin Motioned to approve the Minutes as <br /> written. Alec matt seconded the Motion and members approved - . <br /> Reserve for Transfer Request <br /> The committee discussed the request made by Jim Long, Council on <br /> Aging, The request is for $14,383 to hook up the fire sprinklers <br /> t the Senior Center. This price includes Water District fees and <br /> running piping 'from property line to building and interior <br /> plumbing. The request is unforeseen and was not placed in the FY9 <br /> budget because no fixed date had been set for water to be installed <br /> along Great Neck Road Dort] in FY9 . Mr. Golub explained that the <br /> CIP currently has this in their budget. Ms. King asked if members <br /> wanted this to come out of the CIP or the Reserve Fund? Mr, <br /> Golub's only concern was the delay between today and getting <br /> approval at town Meeting. There could be a loss of life or <br /> property damage due to the sprinklers not being installed. Mr. <br /> Goggin could not see the emergency, Mr, Golub suggested tabling <br /> the discussion, The Committee agreed to table until M . Long <br /> explains the request. He would be invited to attend the meeting on <br /> February 20th, Mr. Watt also questioned the cost. <br /> Correspondence <br /> The Committee discussed a► letter received from Bob Sherman, <br />
