The Agent requested a notation on the plan of the conceptual reserve area and that no <br />actual work is being proposed there. He cited regulation 25 Land Subject to Coastal Storm <br />Flow which refers to various percentages of land that must be retained in a native state <br />based on the lot site. This lot is 30,000 plus square feet. It does work out that with the <br />removal of 8 trees, the remaining trees do account for 30 percent which meets the <br />standards. He recommended a Negative Determination. <br /> <br />No comment from the public <br /> <br />Motion: Mr. Sweet moved a Negative Determination, seconded by Mr. Smith. Vote unanimous. <br /> <br />UPDATE: DEP Storm Damage Declaration <br /> <br />The Agent stated DEP has sent out a declaration to the towns that certain activities due to <br />the storm can be authorized by the staff without a need of a permit as long as we have an <br />opportunity to see the damage and assess it. He said his office has been dealing with this <br />in addition to doing some beach nourishment from loss of sediment from the storm. There <br />is a deadline of April 2 when all work has to be completed which mainly deals with downed <br />trees and property damaged as opposed to a large project. <br /> <br />UPDATE: Refuge Partnership Meeting <br /> <br />This was canceled and rescheduled to March 15. To be held at the Waquoit Bay Research <br />Reserve. He will forward an agenda to the commissioners. <br /> <br />UPDATE: Herring Run Promotional Day <br /> <br />The Agent stated Katelyn Cadoret held a Herring Run Presentation at the Library which went <br />very well. The Library has been very cooperative with the Conservation Department. This <br />coming Saturday there will be onsite training for the herring count program which we do <br />every year. <br /> <br /> <br />
