Liaison AssigLamenta. Chuck reviewed the old liaison
assignments, and indicated there is a need to fill those assignments
which were held by Alison Br ss , and Desiree Moreno. Chuck
suggested Lynda Carroll for Resident Services, along with Sandra
Lyndsey. Lynda Carroll and Sandra Lindsey were also suggested
for and& Property Development. Bill Johnson would be the lead
in General Government, second in charge in Public Safety and
Enforcement, and third in line in General Expenses. Bill Johnson
expressed an interest in learning more about the responsibilities of
a lead person, and support person. Chris Avis indicated that once
the budgets come around,it would be best to try to attend the
meetings.
I. Requests farTransfers. Due to some confusion regarding flie
start time of the meetings, and the fact that Chief Baker was
resent and also a keys aker with regard to a request for an
emergqncy ftmer „fire truck. The meeting/discussion was
started by Chuck Gasior at 6:17 p.m. Present at the start of the
meeting were Chuck Gasior,Ken Patrick,Lynda Carroll and
Sandra Lindsey. Chris Avis, Bobutcor, and Bill Johnson
amved at,6:30 =rte.
Chief Baker addressed the Finance Committee about an mediate
request for the transfer of Twenty Five Thousand($25,000.00)
Dollars and 00/100 from the Reserve Fund for the repair of
Engine/tanker 352. Chris Avis inquired as to whether the vehicle
was worth being fixed, and if the money spent for this repair would
take care of the problem and if the truck would come back for any
other repairs. Chief Baker explained that the life of a Fire Truck is
about twenty 20 years, with an extra fifteen 1 ears added if it
undergoes rehabilitation. This particular truck has undergone
rehabilitation. Chief Baker stated it would take approximately
thirty o days to repair the truck, and that the truckwould retain
value, so it could actually be an investment when it carne to
purchase a new truck. A concern which was brought up by Chris
Avis, was that if the total cost came up less than the requested
$25,1000.00,would ars"actual"cost be used, and riot just transfer
the entire $25,,000.00. Joyce Mason suggested that if the Finance
Committee approved this, that they approve a request for transfer
"up to $25,000.00". This would alleviate the concerns the Finance
Committee had about the"'actual"vs. "estimated")cost. Upon
receipt of the"actual"cost, the funds would be transferred.
Bob Hutchinson moved to approve the request for transfer.
Sandra Lindsey seconded. All in favor for the transfer of
w
