FAX: Board of Library Commissioners: mood News: The Joint House and Senate Conference Committee reached agreement and recommended 2.2 M. for the Board of Library Commissioners to -begin the implementation of the strategic plan in FY/97 state budget. The Douse version included 2.2 M. and the Senate had approved the loafer amount, 1,078,000. The Joint Mouse and Senate Conference Committee includes funding in the administrative account of the Board of Library Commissioners budget to wire two new library technology specialists. Please mote that the FY/97 state budget must go to the governor for is review and signature." O. Robertson explained that the strategic plan was going to split the Eastern Region into four distinct regions and also to rearrange the way state money was funded to the networks by telecommunication. 0. Robertson stated that there should be more money coming to the networks which will help stabilize CLAMS expenses to some degree, B. V OLD BUSINESS: A, Signage: Helene reported that the day after our meeting with Greg Taylor, Helene ran into Bob Whritenour at the Town Hall. Mr. -Whritenour abed . . Helene if she would like a nice carved wooden sign that says Mashpee Public Library and has the library logo incorporated into it. The Selectmen would provide the sign and the DPW would provide the maintenance. They are gaiting to hear from the trustees, as to their wishes. It was Heltenel s opinion that this would probably be in addition to the directional signs which were previously discussed. Discussion followed, questioning whetber this sign was being provided instead of the directional_ signs discussed at the previous month's meeting, ndrea suggested that perhaps some clarification coup be had from Bob Whritenour and Greg Taylor.
