Evaluation: The Committee sets a financial goal and produces public relations materials that can be used in the Capital Campaign. Action: Continue holding fundraising events to increase community awareness of the library's project. Schedule some affordable events that any resident can attend so they can become part of the library's financial supporters. Evaluation: Schedule at least two events which are affordable for families and people on limited income. Action: Fundraising Committee develops a donor recognition program and decides how larger donors will be acknowledged. Action: Explore sources of funding for museum passes for children, approaching local clubs and organizations to adopt a particular pass. Goal 3: Library Director remains current on the availability of grants the library is eligible for. Action: Library Director continues to monitor availability of grant funding programs for capital projects. Action: Library Director works with other Town Departments like the Planning Office,Town Clerk's Office and Assessor's Office to develop the statistical data needed to accompany a building grant application. Evaluation measure: The Library Director works with other Town Departments and produces statistical exhibit sheets which can be added to grant applications to demonstrate local need for outside funding. Action: Children's Librarian monitors opportunities for grants for improvements in Children and Youth services. Action: Library Director reports to the Library Trustees and the Town Administrator on the progress of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners' Capital Grant Program Goal J: Building Committee and the Library Director continue work on the library expansion project. Action: Building Committee expands membership of the committee up to 13 members, seeking people who have skills that would enhance the makeup of the committee.
