Discussion relative to- choice of an alternative site for- the new library building, and strategy for cornrnunication with Mashpee Coons . To rely on someone to speak to someone doesn't cut it. You have a letter, you put a letter in, s.om on s hand, certified letter, registered Letter. It is our policy on this board when we have a meet- inc and we decide on something, we send a copy to the selectmen, registered, a copy to the parties that be. We have a record it was seat Step #1 should be to send a letter - to the powers that he, and ask what are the sites - that are under consideration - and get - something back into our hands . Then, . we have a record of that. Discussion of the sites under consideration* Discussion of possible town sites : Helene added that the only site ever mentioned was a site somewhere in the vicin iter of the .Police and Fire Departrnent . - It was felt by the trustees that that w as 'not a good site - because of emergency vehicles- coming in and out, sirens , etc. They also prop �e`dputtinq the library where they are dis-- cussing buildingthe new senior center complex down by the high school, incorporating the 11"brary -as part of this super complex.. Therefore, a letter .should be written to- the selectmen, and have it 'recorded. We have five sites to look at. Two of them, perhaps we could check with the town planner po s ibly,, and get some rore information.
