MashOee, Ma 02649 Circulation for 11 arch 2905 totaled 19,1 3 items, which are 1 144 items more than the carne time period,last year. This is 12% more than March 2094. ear- to--date circulation is also up % over last year_ The-library has circulated 91;472 items thus far this fi caryear. Out of 36 member libraries, only five locations have circulations higher than-Il ashpe ' . With three months left to this fiscal year, Ilahpee will assuredly set a new record for yearly circulation. (Current record i s 113,2 09 i n FY 2002) Since our last meeting, I have been informed that the library will be receiving a donation towards the building project from a local foundation. I have been asked to hold the details in confidence until the foundation can make a formal announcement. The check will be presented at an awards dinner on May 17th. The library is one of many institutions.choen by this foundation to receive an award. Three trustees, two building committee members, the president of the friends of the library and the Library Director will represent the library at the dinner. As we did not seek this donation, it was a wonderful surprise to be informed of this gift. On April 13 1h I received a visit from Torn Stolhman} a 'Member of the grant review team. Mr. Stolhman is the architect member of the team. It is his charge to visit each library he has been assigned, to review the plans with the library director, View the current facility and to develop an idea of what thought processes went into developing the library building program. Since he is the only member of the team who will visit the library, he assists the team by clarifying the library's plan and program through his visit and discussion with the library director. I had a positive impression from his visit and felt he will be able to explain some of the changes our design has gone through to reach the version we submitted with the grant proposal.
