Attendees that wanted to address the forum had to sign-up for 2 minutes time...Shelly did and made a rbfpit h" for Mashpee Library. 'Heather asked for cla fication on what town voted on for the library and was the size a state requirement or grant requirement' Shelly responded that town voted for$3.5 Million. He also noted that size of 20,000 square feet was judged to be reasonable size library before grant was applied for but that it was grant that had the guidelines, not the state. Carlo added comment that to not build the 20,000 square foot building is shortsighted and we're not doing the job right, -He said that the current building was cut in size andwe'd be making the exact sane mistake this time around if we don't do the job right. Again it was mentioned that Falmouth took the right approach...They're building and then will tern the grant money over to the torn as a reimbursement when it is received. The Board was reminded that 5 towns on Cape built their libraries under Mate grants and all were on the waiting list for the funds they received. Shelly pointed out than historically if you make the waiting list you get the finds. Advisor ...David informed the Trustees that people firorn different pa.rt.s of the commur�ty are going to participate in a gaup to put their heads together and try to come up vnth some ideas and keep the public in.forrned so that the right decision is made for the town of Mashpee. David and Carlo will participate in this oup. New Business Nancy Soderberg to review The Open Meeting Lav brochure from District Attorney's Office to ensure Trustees in conformance with procedures.
