All agreed and this topic was tabled. <br /> Discussion re um d&.,Following Debra Roger's exit from the meeting,the Board continued discussion <br /> of this topic, which was tabled earlier. James Moroney asked Andrew whether or not Joyce left him with <br /> the impression that she is actively pursuing to get someone with the technical expertise. Andrew <br /> responded yes, Joke is actively pursuing this and we are not being asked to do anything. <br /> There followed a lengthy discussion..,some of the items included: <br /> Purpose of Town Hall Studio is to cover town meetings; it is not to be a production studio. That is <br /> why town provided with a portable studio. <br /> James Moroney made suggestion that only one person handle all the administrative steps for <br /> meetings— the linin , label tapes, etc., rather than 2 areas, such as Clerk's Office and <br /> Selectmen's Office. <br /> Andrew will strongly recommend to Joyce Mason that she come to next meeting to discuss <br /> staffing issues. <br /> r <br /> Could Maxine possibly handle the administrative responsibilities` <br /> Debra Rogers <br /> Andrew introduced Debra of FCTV to the Board. He explained that at one time Mashpee vas invited to <br /> participate in 3CTV Community Tv but declined because we have such a good studio here and Comcast <br /> has been willing to operate the studio. Andrew said that Debra Rogers told him that there is a rumor that <br /> Comcast may be reluctant to continue to run community studios,but he has not heard any official notice <br /> on this. However, if that were the case,thea we may want to consider what Debra is proposing. Andrew <br /> again reminded the Board that he has not received any official notice from Comcast and only heard of this <br /> mor through Debra. <br /> Debra handed out an information packet to each Board member and she provided a rundown on her <br /> background and that she has over 20 years of cable experience.
