David Dlveechio...Davidprovided the Board members with a copy of Town workstation and server <br /> inventory list just as a piece of information and to give a"snapshot" of where we are now. David was <br /> asking the Board for funding for three items: <br /> Servr..,Needs one server Dell PowerEdge 1950 $; , - that is carne sewer GIS requested. This <br /> would re lace current server labeled"Shakespeare"' which functions as application/database. Price quote <br /> and specification of the system components is attached to the printed minutes of this meeting. <br /> Motion: Janes Chisholm motioned that we recommend to the Board of Selectmen one additional $7,388 <br /> 1 ower dge server for the 1T Department; James Moroney seconded the motions and it was-unanimously <br /> approved. <br /> 1SeniorCen er software kiosk provided stem ...Davidspecification and price quote ($7,715) for <br /> this software for the Senior Center, which is attached to the printed set,of minutes of this meeting. David <br /> explained that Barnstable and several towns have this software at their Senior Centers. Andrew said last <br /> time the Senior Center asked for funding we had to tura thea down so if we could it would be good for us <br /> to support this. <br /> Motion: Lolita M Cray motioned that we fund$7,715 to Mashpee Senior Center for MySeniorCenter <br /> software kiosk system; James Moroney second this motion; and it was unam mously approved. <br /> Wireless access at Senior Center...David proposed providing wireless access at Senior Center as was <br /> done at the Library. Direct Network Services system dost: $2,256.50. <br /> Motion: Jaynes Moroney motioned that we recommend to the Board of Selectmen $2,256.50 for Direct <br /> Network Services wireless system for the Senior Center; Lolita McCray seconded the motion; and it was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> Discussion <br /> Andrew Eliason notal that an article was in the Enterprise regarding action being placed on town that will <br /> reduce town's capabilities deciding what they're going to do about cable. Andrew asked Joyce who' <br /> responded? Joyce said we didn't and she doesn't know why Mashpe was named. Joyce added that with <br /> licensing renewal approaching, we should probably get.started. Andrew suggested having Mr. Epstein <br /> come to a meeting and ask him to br*ng us up-to--date on what we need to do. Joyce said she also will <br /> find out if the other gentleman is still in partners with Mr. Epstein and, if so, she'll ask both of them to <br /> come to the meeting. <br /> Joyce informed the Board that they are hiring an outside company to come in to run Town Meeting. <br /> Andrew said h -will have 3 hies within the next couple of weeks for the Titler and will get that to Joyce <br /> thea. <br /> Next Meeting...Tuesday,October 10, 2006 at 3 p.m.,Meeting Room 1. <br /> Ad journm nt...James Chisholm motioned the meeting be adjourned;this notion was seconded by <br /> Janes Moroney; and was unanimously passed.
