Joyce Mason stated that there are <br /> empty classrooms in the Mashpee schools that could be utilized for this purpose. <br /> Joyce Mason stated that at the Ascertainment Hearing, Mashpee requested that the studio <br /> be kept open. If it is not, then Mashpee asked that ample funding be secured in order to <br /> establish a local access studio in Mashpee (first preference), or(second choice) to join in <br /> with another access studio in a neighboring town. This request is in the Ascertainment <br /> Hearing record. <br /> Jim Chisholm made a motion to recommend to the BOS to encumber$60,000 for the <br /> renovation and upgrade of the Town Hall control room and related equipment. Lolita <br /> Ilceray seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> Andrew Eliason made a motion that the Mashpee Cable &Advanced Technology Board <br /> accept the recommendations of our counsel, Peter J. Epstein, Esq., pertaining to contract <br /> negotiations as previously articulated in the on-the-record testimony provided during the <br /> course of our Ascertainment Hearings, including the additional comments entered into the <br /> record today. Lolita McCray seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> OTHER BUSINE <br /> 1. Meeting schedule for 2009. <br /> The Board agreed that the permanent board meeting schedule for 2009 be set for the <br /> second Tuesday of each month, at 2:00 PI M# in the Selectmen's conference room##1. <br /> The exception to that will be the January meeting, which will be held on the first Tuesday of <br /> the month, January 6th, at 2 PI I, in the BOS conference room#1. The recording secretary <br /> will notify Torn Clerk's office. <br /> 2. Maxine Wolfset thanked ed the Board rd for the opportunity to serve on the committee and <br /> stated that it is her intent to continue to stay in touch and serge the town in producing <br /> documentaries and working at the controls. <br /> w Reverse 911 Service <br /> Joyce Mason reported that Mashpee has decided to move the reverse 911 service from <br /> the police department to Town Hall, and have David DelVecchio menage the system, and <br /> use it on a more frequent basis. This means that the town will no longer creed to pay for <br /> the 12 telephone lures. <br /> . e* channel 98. <br /> Andrew Eliason suggested that this Board rescind the use of channel 98 by CaCC and <br /> offer it into the negotiation pool for use by the cable company. Joyce Mason stated that <br /> she would notify CCCC by letter of the intention of Mashpee to allocate the 98 band VAdth <br /> back to Mashpee for the use of PEG. <br /> S.
