john Kuchinski agreed the sane concern was stated at the <br /> April 22nd Platning Board Hearing.- <br /> Selectman <br /> earin .- <br /> Se a tman Mars ers also suggested that Mr. Chace and Mr. <br /> Storrs speak out at Town Meeting with the benefit of support from <br /> the Planning Board, Sever Commission, and environmentalists,. <br /> Selectman Mars ers recognized Cheryl Shepley,, who commented <br /> negatively upon the Talbots building located in mashpee Commons. <br /> She stated that it is her opinion that what is being proposed by <br /> MCLP is h o p etely out of character of the Town" ,, She also <br /> stated that in her opinion, MCP is not bringing anything <br /> positive into Town. she commented negatively regarding traffic <br /> congestion (Stop & Shop) and stated it is virtually impossible to <br /> find parking spaces at the Post office, restaurants and stores <br /> within Mashpee. Commons. <br /> s. Shapley consented on the proposed additional businesses <br /> and residences, noting the 'impacts to the school system, taxes, <br /> and water, She made it very clear that she is not in support o <br /> the project. <br /> Discussion- sI Bylaw-Potential Amendments <br /> Mr. Storrs made reference to Memorandum dated 5/18/98, to <br /> the Selectmen's Sub on nittee,, from mashpee Commons L. P.... <br /> regarding the open space Incentive Development Bylaw. <br /> Mr, Storrs stated the following proposed amendments to the <br /> OSID Bylaw have been the result of meetings with the 'porn <br /> Planner. <br /> Page 2-Mr, Storrs 'explained that according- to the `own <br /> Planner, the o I Bylaw was designed to be purely residential., <br /> allowing some commercial. The proposed amendment ,would allow for <br /> commercial and residential together, a mixed use. <br /> Page - -W. Storrs explained primary/secondary open space <br /> areas located along Great Neck Road South that were established <br /> prior o the mashpee Wildlife Refuge. The proposed amendment <br />' could coordinate the primary, secondary, and National wildlife <br /> ee as a means to encourage landowners to set aside not only <br /> primary and secondary land, but land within the mashpee Wildlife <br /> Refuge as well. There was discussion regarding boundary line <br /> clarifications, <br /> Mr. Storrs stated there is an incentive to- create parks <br /> within the master Calan areas, one being at the intersection of <br /> Market Street and Jobs Fishing Road to provide a buffer at Deer <br /> crossing. <br /> Pave 4-Mr. Storrs exp .a ined this proposal would provide an <br /> incentive conversion credit for parks.
