developing an infrastructure/wastewater system on the site that <br /> could ultimately be adapted to a Town-wide solution to the <br /> wastewater issue. Mashpee Commons o sultants have been rade <br /> available to the Town Sewer Commission, as well as to the <br /> permitting and regulatory authorities. <br /> Fiscal Impact Studies-Prepared by a Consultant hired by <br /> Mashpee Commons, which information is Currently being reviewed by <br /> the Town' s consultant . All comments/suggestions received in <br /> writing from the public have been reviewed/considered by the <br /> Consultant and have been incorporated into the projections <br /> wherever appropriate. However, here have been no significant. <br /> changes made as a result. Revenues received from the <br /> development, less the operating costs, capital costs, and debt <br /> service, result in a positive contribution to the Town. The <br /> fiscal impacts of the Mashpee Commons project produce a positive <br /> overall result to the Town. <br /> ,aesthetics--The proposed cormnercial neighborhoods will be <br /> similar in mature to the existing Commercial. development in <br /> Mashpee Commons. The developer stated the preference for two <br /> story buildings, noting that the proposed street/parking layout <br /> would remain the same as existing (Fast Steeple and North Market <br /> Streets) . <br /> The mixed-use neighborhoods will consist of commercial uses, <br /> retail and office, being interspersed with residential units, <br /> both single-family homes as well as apartments. Mr. Chace stated <br /> the architectural code for this project is available to any <br /> interested member of the public. He also stated a Town architect <br /> would be designated by Mashpee Commons for the purpose of <br /> providing building guidelines and permitting information to a <br /> property owner. <br /> At this point the moderator~ opened the floor to questions <br /> from the public. The following is a chronology of speakers who <br /> had first been recognized to spear by the Moderator and who had <br /> identified thensalves for the record <br /> Gary Pearson-Inquired as to the source of a water supply. <br /> He mentioned well problems and water shortages. Mr. Chace <br /> responded that the Mashpee Commons project is currently under the <br /> jurisdiction of the Mashpee Nater District, and that all of the <br /> existing development is Town water. He noted that the Highland <br /> Water District was at one time awned by the principles of Mashpee <br /> Commons and was later sold to the Town of Mashpee, at which time <br /> a water supply agreement was rade for water provisions for this <br /> development. <br /> Douglas Storrs, Mashpee Commons Ltd. Partnership, clarified <br /> that the Mashpee Commons Master Flan has always been incorporated <br /> into the Town of Mashpee Vater District Plan.
