Center that has become a Town Center. Various pictures as the site looked in 1978, with Nor. Chace commenting that Mashpee Commons at that time created the roadway towards the back of the project. Post office-An anchor property, has leen situated at its present location from early on and contributes to the Town Center. Neighborhoods included in the proposal-Existing ashpoe Commons, intersections, and those four neighborhoods being involved in the permitting process, Job' s Fishing Road, whitings Road, North Market Street, and East Steeple Street. Whitings Road-A Road-Aforty 40acre parcel of which development of twenty-seven acres is being proposed; the remaining thirteen 1 'acres being proposed as open space. Plan-To which references were being made from Job' s Fishing Road, Christ the King Church, and Senior Housing. Eighty single family houses are being proposed, a green area, with lots ranging from 5, oOO to 10, 000 square feet. Lanes and garages are being proposed towards the back of the properties, with the larger houses sited on the corner lots . Mr. Chace explained the theory for situating houses towards the front of the property would tend to create an interaction between the front door step with sidewalk activities. Job' s Fishing Road-flied use community, such as retail, office, and housing. Mr. Chace made reference to the Deer Crossing community, stating the two groups have ret several times for discussion purposes and that Mashpee Commons will provide ars adequate buffer between the two communities . The mixed use will be along the main roads (indicated in blue) . References were also rade to the residential areas indicated in pink) . Mr. Chace indicated some type of public building and green area is being proposed, perhaps a community building suitable for- meetings. He also made mention of the awareness for vistas such as the church steeple, and the proposed Boch Center. References were being made to the Jobs Fishing Road area where a bike path/sidewalk is being proposed along the west side. The road will be two-lanes with parking along the side in an attempt to reduce traffic speeds. References were being made to nixed-use, flexible, style buildings/neighborhood. Benefit Street-Single family ow houses are being proposed to occur in two' s and four' s . East Steeple Street-Potential hotel site locations were - - i L -
