Libra Project continued
r ;lect Changes...Rick provided a PCO/Change Order Log,which is attached to the printed set of these
minutes. RMC explained the 3 change order items under Change Order#3 (identified as P ,C ,and
CE 15 on the log), and recommended they be approved as presented th's evening.
Motion: Janice Mills motioned to approve Change Order## as presented;Joe Krait seconded this
motion; and It was unanimously approved.
Book Mannement System....RicPomroy advised that one bits was received and that was from 3 M in the
amount of$49J82 along with a 3-year maintenance cost of$12,396. Rick said Catherine Laurent and
Joyce Mason pointed out that we are not authorized to purchase maintenance agreements;therefore Rick
recommended this Committee accept the $49,182 bid. Rene'Read will work out the maintenancc
contract with 3M.
Motion: Janice Mills motioned to recommend the Board of Selectmen accept the 3M Book
Management System for$49,182; Irving Goldberg seconded this motion; and it was unanimously
approved.
Deveigpment Budgq... 'he development budget was reviewed.
Furniture...Catherine advised that we will be taking advantage of a lot of the Mate contracts so just a
couple of Mems will have to go out for bid.
Color Board...Rick showed the color board that Stewart Roberts prepared;and Catherine and Helene
pointed out where the various items were going to be located within the building. During this discussion,
Catherine said that a recessed track neat will be at the Library entrance so people don't track in salt/snow,
etc. r
Donor Appreciation Wall...Steve Cook informed the Committee that Michael recommended a 12X 12
slue size. Green slate will be on the floor so they're doing black slate on the wall. Steve explained that
the stars theme didn't really work so now the slate wall will have clear Plexiglas plaques inscribed and
there may also be some sort of design etched on the slag behind the plaques. Steve said that one
suggestion is that at the bottom portion they have a key legend to show that green designates a corporate
donor;yellow would be,"ire memory of'; etc. It is still being worked on since the color-coding would be
one wary to distinguish between donor groups.
Invoices...The following invoices were submitted for approval for payment.
$8019458.95 - Buffiree Bldg. Co.
0 15,791.70—Johnson Roberts invoices)
17,510.58—PomToy Associates
Motion: Janice MUls motioned that the 5 invoices presented be accepted for payment; Joe Brait
seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved.
`here was a discussion that since Johnson Roberts will now be in receipt o %of funds under his
contract, should future invoices be held in abeyance until all change orders have ended. Catherine
Laurent will set up a meeting with Joyce Mason, Steve Cook and Rick Pomroy re future Johnson Roberts
invoices.
Helene Defoe and Jane Dolan exited the meeting at 8 p.m.
