Library Project(continued) Final Report Review—Input.to come from Helene and Staff Helene said that mainly logs have been biggest issue and is still a work in progress. Trouble locking Steeple Street door when.getting ready to close up. Taylor noticed the reader was in green operation and made a call to Bill. After-hours door—not able to use the reader to get through,but Taylor got it open tonight. • Mill waiting for double bolt on conference room door so we can open from each side. Catherine said our locksmith is having difficulty finding the part. Helene said she found one chair upstairs that has a flaw in the fabric; she called the company and they will come out to try and fix on-site here; otherwise,they will take back. Dick asked Helene to send any issues they find to both he and to Taylor and they will take care of the issues and keep track of things,rather than Helene contacting the vendors. Iry Goldberg inquired about the grandfather clock in the library. Helene said it is not working aft this point in time. She said the gentleman who originally donated it thought he could fix it but could not. Iry said he knows someone on Cape who does fix these clocks and would give Helene his name if she wants it. t Catherine Laurent said she ordered a clock for this conference room. LEER Update • Stewart Roberts advised that all things for design were submitted and were approved. So,we are getting LEED certification on the building. • Stewart said we are hoping to make Cold ... need 39 points to make gold and we identified 40 points. • • Good news,..when recently doing some of the submissions for recycling or diverting construction waste since we have over 0%we are going to apply to get an extra point so vire thin we're going with 41 points. Stewart said he needs a copy of no-smoking policy for the library. That's a pre-requisite. Catherine Laurent said Board of Health has no smoking within 30-feet of the building. Catherine asked the Board of Health to consider no smoking at all on the property but for last 6 months that has not made it on their agenda. Catherine said she will get something to Stewart tomorrow, Stewart said the application should be finished within the new few days. He said it can take - weeks to be reviewed. If they come back with questions,then we have 15 days to respond. So, we are about 3 months away from knowing about the certification,but that's how the process goes. Stewart said if we apply for Green Power that would give us an extra point. The consensus was not to apply at this point. When questioned whether or not LEED Certification could be taken away, Stewart responded that once certified they cannot take certification away. He said we are doing this under LEEDS S l ew Building 2.0. He said they are about to change the rules but that will not impact this library building. Interior Sig_nage...There is an issue with the engraving on the donor wall and lick will loop at lighting to see whether it coup be improved and he will also look at the engraving issue. lick will contact Sign Design. CoMputers...Helene said these are still a work in progress. Computer Mggagement System...Helene said it is working pretty well now. She said it was more extensive than they thought,but seems to be working now,but that's just 2 or 3 days ago. She said comments from people have been very positive.
